Question I don’t have an Honorable Discharge. What benefits am I missing out on?

Answer It depends on the type of discharge you have. You are likely missing out on educational benefits like the G.I. bill if you don’t have an Honorable Discharge, and also could be missing out on VA benefits like medical and dental care and disability compensation. Contact us to learn more.

Question Is there a time limit for me to apply for a discharge upgrade?

Answer The amount of time that has passed will affect which board you apply to, either the Discharge Review Board of the Board of Corrections for Military Records. Contact us to learn where you should apply.

Question I’ve already applied to the Discharge Review Board for my branch of service, and was denied. Is there anything else I can do?

Answer Yes, you can apply to the Board of Correction for Military Records. Contact us to learn more.

Question What is the standard each Board uses?

Answer The Discharge Review Board uses the standard of Inequity and impropriety. The Board of Correction for Military Records uses the standard of error or injustice. Contact us to learn which Board may be right for you.
